The Humanitarian Crisis in Afghanistan

A beautiful sunny morning in Afghanistan, on the day of February 2020 the USA announces that they have signed accords with the Taliban to bring in peace talks between the two ruling factions of the war ridden state. This accord coming to a conclusion the USA also announces that their final evacuation date from Afghanistan would be 31st August 2021. Little did the world know that this decision by Washington DC would change the atmosphere in geo-politics and international politics.

A few months into 2021, the US and their NATO allies start pulling out troops from Afghanistan, little were the Taliban factions waiting for this very moment to start capturing over the land, at this point the president of the country remains Ashraf Ghani and announces that every terrorist outfit present will get a befitting answer from the Afghan Forces, a courageous move indeed. A few days into battle the number of foreign troops presence starts reducing and the Taliban government now start capturing areas under democratic rule, this is a now a real eyebrow raiser to the people of Afghanistan and it’s government, the rest is history.

Keeping this in mind it won’t be wrong to throw in some facts the world and the privileged people living outside Afghan have to do to save their women and also save this world from the Barbaric rule of the Taliban, there is a certitude in their voice which can be clearly illustrated by the words of the spokesperson of Taliban Zabiullah Mujahid.

Economic situation in Afghanistan remains to be in sorry state of affairs. The Taliban have proved to be great warriors under their prophecy of the fake Pashtun nationalism whilst all they seek is political representation and nothing to do with Islam or it’s preaching, be the re-sit may, every country needs an economy to run successfully, well. What is the rate of one Afghani to a US dollar 0.012 dollar for one Afghani? When Ashraf Ghani was the president the state continuously received dollar deliveries. Some might say that the Chinese will invest in the country and also help them reboot their economy through mining of copper in the Aynak copper mine, will the Taliban government be capable enough to return back the investment rate with interest rates when the Chinese completely exploit the resources?

This brings us to the crux of the topic, the Taliban have continuously been criticized for not having a inclusive government, they lack conviction, convention, morals, ethics and principles when it comes to governing, let us take a look at the latest announced list of the government that Taliban has set up, to begin with the PM Mullah Muhammad Hassan Akhund, born in Kandahar province of the kingdom of Afghanistan whose date of birth is also speculative belongs to the Kakar Pashtun Tribe also a very close aid to Mohammad Omar a terrorist of the first order.

Speaking about terrorists the first rational argument here can be are soldiers ever good at politics, second they have not yet spoken anything about elections to be conducted in the future, third female representation is not even close to miniscule in their so called legitimate government. I can go on and on about their debaucheries in governance but have they been capable enough to include women in their governance, have they been able to satisfy the rights and the freedom which women require, a very clear ideology of anything anti-Islam shall not exist remains to be their modus operandi, they impose Sharia laws in a generation where LGBTQ rights are being accepted in some of the most under developed regions of the world, the days of darkness in Afghanistan are back, women are pelted for adultery, sentenced to forty whiplashes for not being accompanied by a male and stone pelted if anything that is Anti-Sharia.

Well we have let this happen in the world, as a global society we have failed to support our women(#SaveAfghanwomen) in need in Afghan, they have been pointed guns at, whip lashed for demanding freedom and also been slaves to the insecurities of the Taliban leadership. A women is burnt alive in Afghanistan just because she cooks bad food, terrorists are now soldiers who carry around automatic machine guns in civilian infested areas of Afghanistan, leaders face interviews in national television surrounded by gun-men, women are sold as sex slaves and shipped to neighboring countries in coffins. Women have to fondle around for days for a time’s meal to feed her hungry children.

The Taliban are killing women for being women, their foolishness is displayed when they claim that a “man is not trained to deal with women”. Regardless even at this point Pakistan claims that human rights issue is prominent in India while they themselves attacked a legitimate force in the Panjshir valley called the Northern Alliance led by Ahmad Massoud and Amrullah Saleh.

It is high time India takes this as an opportunity to profess its hegemony in the South-East Asian region involving all stake holders to uphold the promise of being a peace loving country and counter terrorism with a befitting answer and also at the same time not forget to uphold her self-vested interests and create a new dynamic image in the global front.
