Visit of Foreign Secretary of the UK to India (October 22-24, 2021)

The Rt Hon Elizabeth Truss MP, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs and Minister for Women and Equalities, United Kingdom, will pay an official visit to India from 22-24 October, 2021.

During her stay in New Delhi, Ms. Truss will hold talks with Minister of External Affairs, Dr S. Jaishankar on 22 October 2021 on bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interest. As part of the visit, Ms. Truss will travel to Mumbai on 23 October, 2021.

During the India-UK Virtual Summit between the two Prime Ministers held on 4 May, 2021, the bilateral relationship between the two nations was elevated to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.The ties have been marked by regular high level exchanges and growing cooperation in diverse areas. Ms. Truss’ visit will be an opportunity to review the Roadmap 2030 launched during the Virtual Summit and further deepen the partnership across various sectors like trade,science & technology, innovation, defence, climate, education and health sectors.
