Dr. Venkateswaran is a Global Fellow with the Asia Program at the Woodrow Wilson Centre for International Scholars, Washington DC. Previously, he has been a Kodikara Research Fellow with the Regional Centre for Strategic Studies, Colombo. Dr. Venkateswaran has a PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
