Energy Crisis- New Grounds of Conflict & Threat to Nation

The fundamental currency of our planet earth, is energy. We need energy both as luxury and necessity like for EVs, illumination, medical usage, Manufacturing units, security facilities, transportation, communication, weaponization( like the railgun) and the list goes on. we know energy consumption is increasing at a high rate but we are going out of fuels by 2060, although the exact dates remain unknown. Hence, it becomes important that every country should secure itself on energy resources grounds and also becomes a factor of conflicts which we have already witnessed in the past. whether, it is Colonization of Africa, invasion of Kuwait, disputes of South-china sea and the list goes on. Sometimes, it also act as the dispute-resolver, as in case of RUSSIA-UKRAINE standoff. European-Union is very much dependent on Russia for fuel supply, which if halted will affect both the sides.

Hence, we know if we didn’t find the alternative source of existing fuels it might also become a security threat for the world. Let us keep it side, The most alarming situation is “GLOBAL WARMING”, Industrial revolution added fuel to the fire. The net temperature of earth increased by 1°c and International bodies are trying to abstain the further increment. Imagine our great great grandchildren will be half submerged underwater while going to school. The global warming is melting the north & South ice caps and Earth is becoming a “microwave” , which would rise the water level by 216 ft. If not taken care of. In that case, a new term “Biological-Chemical accidents ” or in other way it is an attack, what if your adversary do a ‘CHERNOBYL’ on your lands. It is a double-edged sword. It will create an energy crisis along with the chemical disaster in the city. The question is that, Is INDIA is ready for such attack?. Like Bhopal gas tragedy shook the India.

India has a vision of one world, one grid. Recently REWA solar power plant one of the biggest solar plant, as India ranks 3rd in the energy consumption. so, it becomes India’s responsibility to step towards clean energy meanwhile also securing resources for future aspects. The gov of India has allowed 100% FDI for renewable energy. They have also installed solar energy plant in western India which experience sunlight for longer duration. For now, The eyes are on the countries like France, China and Germany who are on the verge of controlling fusion reaction. Imagine a successful controlled fusion reaction. The amount of fuel we will be having will sustain earth for next 1000 years but it has to be that efficient because reaching to fusion stage itself requires high energy consumption.
The idea of weaponization is still under discovery and surely will be horrible.

Here comes the space race, exploring space and establishing space force is in vogue because of the resources aspects. As we all know, The Moon experiences high solar storms frequently which deposits Helium-3 on the moon
which can also an alternative to existing fuels instead of discovering new reserves we can mine it from the moon which might have supported the idea of space force. The world is changing faster than we expect and looking for alternative fuel is the new challenge for modern world because the energy crisis will affect both a patient receiving treatment in hospital as well as The man in the high castle.
